Round Rock ISD FAFSA/TASFA Parent Workshop
When: Thursday, October 2, 2025, 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Where: Old Hopewell Building
We look forward to helping you complete your FAFSA or TASFA and guiding you through any questions along the way.
Please join us for this FAFSA information session located in the Old Hopewell Building.
Remember, it’s helpful to bring the documents listed below, if applicable to you:
List of colleges and/or universities the student is interested in attending.
Student/Parent Driver’s License number and Social Security number
Student/Parent Alien Registration card, if student is a legal permanent resident
All Student/Parent/Guardian tax return documents for 2023
Please ensure to bring all of the documents listed above to complete your FAFSA application. If you do not have one of these items, our trained experts and volunteers will help you fill out your application and give you a list of next steps.

PLEASE DO NOT park or drive through the YMCA parking lot during school drop-off or pick-up hours
The YMCA will begin towing non-member vehicles from their lot.
If a student's schedule says "See Counselor" they need to go to their Counselor's Office during the period labeled "See Counselor".
All students must follow their schedule as it stands. If there any issues email your Alpha Counselor.

School hours are 9:00 - 4:20 p.m.
Students may enter the building at 8:25 a.m.
Students may ONLY enter the building before 8:25 a.m. if they are with a McNeil Staff Member.

Friday, August 8th beginning at 6:00 PM, 7:00 - 8:00 PM
Meet the MAVS is a kick-off to the upcoming year for all SPORTS TEAMS and many EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES!
It's an outdoor, community pep rally with the band, cheerleaders, and dance teams performing!
Each sports team is announced and ALL teams celebrated!
At 6 p.m., tables will be set-up along the walkway leading into the stadium with spirit wear for sale by various booster clubs.

We are excited to announce that Colt Camp 2025 is scheduled for Thursday, July 31st, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Colt Camp is McNeil High School’s annual orientation event designed to welcome our incoming Freshmen and New-To-McNeil students to campus. Please note this is a student-only event to allow our newest Mavericks a chance to learn about the campus and to begin building a shred community of learners. Parents will not be attending with their students.
During Colt Camp, students will be divided into small groups and rotate through a series of stations to help them get familiar with our campus, staff, and student life opportunities. These sessions include activities such as, taking ID Pictures, High School 101, Campus Tours Interior & Exterior, and a Club/Organization Fair.
