RRISD is providing families with access to GoGuardian Parent
Summer Student Technology Reminder and RESOURCES FOR PARENTS:
Our district is providing families with access to GoGuardian Parent, a mobile app that gives parents/guardians insight and control over their students' online activity on school-managed devices and accounts.
GoGuardian Parent was created to help provide students with additional educational support and is a companion to the classroom engagement and internet filtering tools that our school uses.
The GoGuardian Parent app provides an overview of the apps, extensions, documents, and websites your student visited, as well as internet controls that you can set for out-of-school hours.
Student safety doesn't end when the final school bell rings. We strongly encourage you to download the GoGuardian Parent app, which allows families to be notified immediately if a safety alert is triggered during evenings, weekends, or while students are out for the summer. The district does not monitor student usage during Summer Break.
More information can be found on our website: GoGuardian Chromebook Management for Parents

Mavericks Complete the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME)
The American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME) is a challenging competition offered for those who excelled on the American Mathematics Competitions' AMC 10 and/or AMC 12.
The AIME is a 15-question, 3-hour examination, in which each answer is an integer number between 0 to 999. The questions on the AIME are much more difficult than those on the AMC 10 and AMC 12. Top-scoring participants on the AIME are invited to take the USAMO or USAJMO.
8 out of the 35 students from McNeil that took the AMC 10 or AMC 12 (AMC - American Mathematics Competition) were invited to take the AIME. (American Invitational Mathematics Exam) This competition takes the top 5% to 15% of the students and invites them to sit for a very elite and rigorous 3 hour exam. Using a scoring rubric, top students are then invited to participate in the USAJMO (United States of America Junior Math Olympiad) which then feeds into the International Mathematical Olympiad. We are awaiting final results.
Wow… ConMAVulations to these MAVulous students on earning this prestigious opportunity.
